  • Win a Tiger Moth Flight Experience

Win a Tiger Moth Flight Experience

In 2014 The Nook Brewhouse launched a new bottled ale created in conjunction with Tiger Moth Experience and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund – Tiger Moth Porter 4.2%abv.

Inspired by the brave men and women who have helped protect our skies for nearly a century and the noble de Havilland Tiger Moth bi-plane, which was used to train many frontline pilots during the first half of the 20th century. Tiger Moth Porter 4.2 is a rich and robust dark ale with a sweet toffee and caramel malt character balanced with blackcurrant and winter berry flavours from British Bramling Cross hops.

This year to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the RAF.  The Nook Brewhouse have released special bottles of Tiger Moth Porter and in conjunction with Tiger Moth Experience we are are offering one lucky winner the chance to take a flight experience in a working Tiger Moth Biplane.

For the chance to win a Tiger Moth Flight Experience entrants must simply scan the code on special bottles of Tiger Moth Porter which will take them to the competition web site, where they can fill in their details and answer a simple question.

All the correct answers will be put into a hat and one lucky blighter will win a Tiger Moth flight experience. After a pre-flight briefing the winner take to the skies above the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. During their time in the air they have the chance to take the controls of the aircraft (subject to weather conditions) and once back on terra firma will also be presented with a presentation pack, including certificate, pin badge and goggles and your very own Log Book.

Ian Roberts Director of The Nook Brewhouse said “Our partnership with the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund and Tiger Moth Experience has been a great experience for us, we’ve been able to meet some fantastic people and help the RABF in the great work they do.  We hope this competition will help make more people aware of the charity and its work helping RAF service men and women.”
