  • A message to all our customers.

Thank you… , Thank you so much for your continued support at this time of absolute confusion and forever-changing circumstances we are faced with.

When we were forced to close, we did. All of our sites. We emptied the fridges, Cleaned out our beer cellars, removed the optics off the bars, emptied the pumps, watched the wasted beers flow down the drains and the wasted food stocks had to go too. We halted brew production in our brewery, and we waited patiently for further instruction from the Government as to when we could open our doors to you again.

One of our outlets The Boshaw Trout had it’s grand opening 8 days before being forced to close, we were gutted we didn’t get chance for you all to visit in what should have been an exciting first few months. Hade Edge once again had a public house back in the village yet it was closed to the community who were so looking forward to using it.If you couldn’t come to us, it was quickly decided we should bring what we do to you:

We set up a Home-Delivery system direct from our Brewhouse and we safely delivered Bottles, Mini Kegs, Firkins, Pins and Pumps direct to your door…. You ordered from us, we delivered. Thank you for all your orders – It was nice to see the beaming smiles through the windows of everyone taking delivery of our fine ales!

We set up a Home-Delivery from our pub Kitchens, Freshly baked pie was delivered to your homes, Sunday Lunches, & Burgers on Saturdays, the demand was outstanding, again thank you, the amazing feedback and repeated orders of our food was amazing.

When we got the green light to re-open our bars, we were delighted, so excited to see our loyal customers again after so long, everything that we needed to do to open again was done, and much more. Screens were placed on all of our bars, Table Service introduced, Hand Sanitizing stations available, one way systems introduced, Track and Trace, Staff wearing face coverings, Re-jigging the furniture to ensure social distancing happened. Our customers ((YOU!)) Dealt with all these changes AMAZINGLY, you did what you needed to do too. You followed the signage guidance and ensured our venues kept the great (but safe) atmosphere they needed. Thank you again….

Eat Out To Help out…. You did, The Tap House was frequently booked up on the day’s we opened for this scheme, This spilled over to the weekends as the word of mouth about the quality of our Tap House food from those that tried it under the scheme had recommended to friends. The Boshaw Trout was booked to capacity for the entire month of the scheme and you supported us then everything started to feel a little more ‘familiar’ there for a while…..

We continued on, we adapted again to some new measures were introduced on Thursday 24th September. Close at 10pm…Ok, we can do that. Face coverings must be worn by all customers who are not sat down at a table, Thank you all, you did that… and on we went, still serving our great food, ales, cocktails, soft drinks and whatever you wanted in our outlets.

Now we are here…. There is a risk that just due to our location in the country our outlets are at risk of being closed again. Nothing you did, nothing we did, we stuck to everything we were asked, as did our customers..

With that in mind, we would love to welcome you to The Nook, The Tap House and The Boshaw Trout this weekend. We have observed that those of you who like to ‘go out’ either for food, or just a few drinks are fully aware of the current risks involved and do appreciate the measures we have put in place, It also seems that you make much more of an effort following the rules while in the hospitality environment than an individual simply boarding public transport, or entering a supermarket.….thank you again for your continued support.
